Catholic Ceremony

Killarney has many beautiful churches for you to choose from.  St Mary’s Cathedral is quite simply awesome with towering pillars and incredible stained glass windows. For more intimate ceremonies chose from either The Church of the Resurrection, The Church of the Holy Spirit, Muckross or The Church of Christ, Prince of Peace in Fossa.

The priest will help you arrange a date for the wedding and advise you of the requirements for marrying in a Catholic Church. You must give at least three months notice of your intention to marry to the priest and undertake a pre-marriage course, visit www.accord.ie for details of pre-marriage courses available throughout Ireland.

Church of Ireland Ceremony

Church of Ireland Ceremonies take place in St. Mary's Church in Killarney. The rector of the church will advise you on the requirements you must comply with. The banns (intention to marry) will be read out in the parishes of the parties for three consecutive Sundays prior to the marriage. Then the rector will give a certificate of banns. There will be a fee for this. The rector will advise you of which type of licence is appropriate and how to go about obtaining the correct one. There are two types - Ordinary Licence or Special Licence. You should give your rector enough notice so that the requirements for marriage can be fulfilled in order for you to get married.

Commitment Ceremonies

We will be honoured to host your Wedding Blessing or Commitment Ceremony. Choose from our Wedding Suite, our fourth floor Park Suite or our private room located on the ground floor. You can contact Romy McAuley a ceremony officiant who will help you officiate your wedding, celebrate your re-affirmation or commitment ceremony by creating an eloquent, meaningful and unforgettable ceremony romy@abeautifulceremony.ie or 087-6622306.
