I hope you are all enjoying the summer; it's been a great one so far! Long may the good weather continue! Its great for us here in Killarney that the weather has been so good because we are having what you might call a sport packed summer. We had around 35,000 people down for the Munster Semi-Final against Cork and another 25,000 people down for the Munster Final against Limerick. On top of that we have had Fun Runs, Soccer Competitions, Tag Rugby and last weekend a staggering 4,800 people took to the Ring of Kerry on their bikes for the 27th Annual Ring of Kerry Cycle. But its not over yet; just look at this list of upcoming sporting events taking place over the next couple of months ........
1. Killarney Races
July 12th - July 15th & August 17th - 19th @ the Killarney Race Course, Ross Road, Killarney.
Tickets: € 20 Per Adult, € 12 Per OAP or Student & Free for children under 12.

2. The Maxi Marathon
It's own website describes it as ‘The most Scenic race in the World'
Saturday 17th of July, the race starts @ 8am- check out maximarathonkillarney.com for more details.
3. The 3 Irish Open - July 29th - August 1st
The Irish Open is being held in Killarney for the first time since Nick Faldo won his second of a hat trick of victories back in 1992. The town will be a hive of activity and with so many major names set to grace the fairways this is my tip for the event of the summer.
There is so much to see and do in Killarney this summer so if you are planning a weekend getaway or a week in the ‘sunny' south west The Brehon is an ideal home away from home for you.
