The Brehon is Highly Commended at The Weddingsonline Awards 2017
The Brehon is one of Ireland’s top wedding venues having recently scooped a commendation at the Weddingsonline Awards 2017.
The commendation for Best Wedding Venue in Munster was announced at a glitzy black tie gala ceremony in Clontarf Castle on Monday night, hosted by actress and Dancing with the Stars contestant Aoibhín Garrihy and sponsored by wedding planning software Moposa.
Over 30,000 couples voted for their favourite suppliers and venues in a range of categories, which were then judged by a panel of digital marketing professionals and wedding industry experts. The judges this year were Sara Kennedy, sales and marketing specialist and wedding blogger for IrishWeddingBlog.ie, Mark Richardson, Ireland’s leading sales and communication skills expert, Ciamh McCrory, digital and communications guru and Laura Holland, Entertainment Editor for Her.ie.
The 33 categories in the Weddingsonline Awards included a range of wedding services offered to engaged couples nationwide, from venues to bands, to stationery and photographers. The country’s top wedding businesses and services gathered at the much anticipated event to celebrate the winners.
“We would like to thank everyone that voted for us and of course the panel of judges,” said Kelly Ann, Wedding Co-Coordinator at The Brehon, “The standards at this level are incredibly high and we delighted to be recognised as one of best wedding venues in Ireland.”
Rosettes in Bloom at The Brehon
AA Rosettes are in bloom at The Brehon this week as Head Chef Chad Byrne, and his team, celebrate receiving a second of the prestigious accolades for culinary excellence.
The AA Rosette scheme is one of the most highly respected awards across Ireland and the UK. Rosettes are only awarded to restaurants that demonstrate consistently excellent standards across all of their dishes and all AA Inspections are unannounced.
Conor Faughnan, Director of Consumer Affairs at the AA says “We’re always thrilled to see Irish restaurants make such progress and deliver such consistently high standards. Danú Restaurant achieved its first AA Rosette just two years ago and it’s great to see the determination of Chef Chad Byrne and his team rewarded. The team at Danú Restaurant deliver quality ingredients cooked with care and flair and fully deserve the accolade of two AA Rosettes for culinary excellence.”
The AA has been awarding Rosettes since 1955 with the aim of providing the public with reliable information on where to eat.
Chad Byrne, Head Chef says “Winning two Rosettes is an amazing honour. It ranks us among the best places to eat in the country. The entire team work very hard to create wonderful dining experiences and we are thrilled to be recognised for this.”
