On the day couples can meet The Brehon wedding team, view The Brehon Suite, Meet Head Chef Chad Byrne & sample some of the beautifully curated food options available for their wedding.

Couples are invited to envision their wedding celebration as it would be on their special day.

Nuno Ribeiro Appointed Deputy General Manager of The Brehon, Killarney

The Brehon in Killarney has appointed a new Deputy General Manager, Nuno Ribeiro, a native of Aveiro, Portugal.
Having worked in Portugal, England, Chile, Brazil, Venezuela and more, the new Deputy General Manager brings the world of experience with him to Killarney.

Prior to joining the team at The Brehon, Nuno worked at the 5 star, Randolph Hotel Oxford, Renaissance Hotel in Sao Paulo, and more recently as Director of Food & Beverage at the 5 Star Sheraton Grand by Marriot in Rio de Janeiro
During Nuno’s time in South America, he worked as part of the pre-opening team for several Marriot Hotels throughout Venezuela, Chile, Guyana and Rio de Janeiro.

The Brehon is an incredibly unique hotel with a beautiful backdrop.  The emphasis here is to deliver exceptional service in exceptional surroundings; this has been apparent to me in each and every department in my short time here. Opened in 2004, The Brehon is an award-winning four-star hotel, overlooking the stunning Killarney National Park. The design and decorative inspiration came from its spectacular setting. The classical detailing of Muckross House inspired the exterior, while inside, the dappled light and rich green hues of Killarney's ancient oak forests instils a sense of calm.

The Brehon Welcomes New Restaurant Manager

Having worked in Italy, France, England, Bermuda, Costa Rica and Singapore, the new Restaurant Manager at The Brehon brings the world of experience with him to Killarney.

Micael Musoni spent his formative years working at his family’s Michelin star restaurant in Montescano, Pavia, Italy. From there he left to develop his skills and worked as commis waiter at The Grand Hotel Villa d’Este in Lake Como, he then travelled on to Paris and England where he spent three years working in various Michelin star restaurants before returning to Villa d’Este as Assistant Sommelier.

Micael then moved to Singapore followed by Bermuda and Costa Rica where he rose through the ranks of various establishments before returning to Singapore to take up the position as Restaurant Manager at The Four Seasons, Regent Hotel. Micael spent ten years in Singapore where, among other things, he project-led the opening of both Solo Ristorante and 1-Atico.

“After working around the world, I decided the time was right to move back to Europe and I chose Ireland because of the great tradition of hospitality, the rich culture, natural beauty and friendly people. I am passionate about food and wine and my goal is to pass this enthusiasm onto my team so that the next generation can love this work as much as I do.”
